Brewing news Belarus: CJSC Brewing Company “Siabar” (Bobruisk) to finally introduce its homonymous brand

The brewer will finally present its same named brand in the very near future, which according to the company’s chairman Sergey Levin, “won’t remain un-noticed by anyone and will represent the very best of Belarus brewing in the neighboring countries”, the Ukrainian Agency of Industrial News released May 26.

He is yet ready to comfort “Siabar” competitors: “They still can remain calm for a while because the company planes to release it not before the next year”. But “Bobrov” is ready to engage itself in a proactive marketing strategy.

Chairman of CJSC “Siabar” Sergey Levin has promised to reporters from “BelGazeta” that Belarus will soon find out who “Bobrov” is.

Even if “Siabar” came to the market with significantly low prices, it is ridiculous to evaluate beer only from its price side. One has to analyze the content of alcohol, its density. A diligent consumer understands that these differences between this parameters conduct to different beer prices. If the brewery supplies different beer at same prices, it is more likely that “someone” is being unfair,” Levin said.

“Even if we’re offering good prices, our politics of setting prices is more inspired from the Russian and Ukrainian standards which we attempt to than the Belarusian ones,” he continued. “We presumed that we were able to supply beer at lower prices, but, since beer prices in Belarus are for some reasons over-appreciated, we have to conduct ourselves by the market,” he finally added.

“There are lots of similar beer producers which seek for fair treatment from the government who has to support every one of these firms, in order to compete with beer manufacturers from neighboring countries. Today, the government uses a “particular” approach of its support for any of these firms. Nobody knows which is the real extend of taxes paid by some of the beer producers, in relation to whom the government uses special treatment criteria.” the company’s chairman said.

CJSC Brewing Company “Siabar” (named SZAO Belarus Brewing Company before August 2005) has been registered in February 2004. Founders of the joint venture are the Detroit Belarus Brewing Company LLC created with participation of American investment group Detroit Investments Ltd, the International Financial Corporation, and OAO “Dednovo”.
